On 30 July 2026, Rajah & Tann Asia organised the “Navigating Singapore’s Trade and Export Control Landscape – A Seminar for Japanese Businesses”.
As global trade controls tighten, businesses are facing increased scrutiny over export compliance, customs declarations and trade documentation. At the seminar, the speakers discussed recent developments in Singapore’s export control regime and enforcement trends, highlighted common pitfalls in trade documentation and shared practical insights on leveraging Singapore’s free trade agreements (FTAs) while avoiding common compliance risks.
The speakers were Partners Shuhei Otsuka, (Head, Japan Desk), Tanya Tang (Chief Economic and Policy Advisor) and Joshua Seet from the Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice.
